A Holbrook man has been charged with unlawfully dealing with a child after allegedly selling a six-pack of beer to a minor at a Riverhead service station, State Police said.

Kundan Kumar, 32, was arrested Monday during an underage drinking initiative by the State Police. During such initiatives, police check businesses that sell alcoholic beverages in an effort to prevent sales to minors.

According to police, Kumar sold the six-pack from the Mobil gas station at 1575 Old Country Rd., in Riverhead.

Police said Kumar was released on an appearance ticket and was scheduled to return to the Town of Riverhead Court on Wednesday.
