Cops: Bellport man's home searched, crack cocaine found
A 28-year-old Bellport man was arrested on drug-related charges after police, acting on a tip, executed a search warrant at his home on Thursday.
Suffolk County police said Kevin McDonald, of 941 Provost Ave., was arrested after officers from the Fifth Squad Neighborhood Enforcement / Special Operations Team and Emergency Services Section discovered “approximately three grams of crack cocaine, a scale, packaging materials” and $286 in cash inside the home.
Police said officers were “acting on tips from members of the community.”
McDonald was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court, Central Islip.
