Cops: Body found in duffel bag in Brooklyn
Police are trying to find out who left a dead man inside a duffel bag in the middle of a Bedford-Stuyvesant street early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a 911 call around 4:30 a.m. and discovered the body of an unidentified black man with "severe trauma to his torso" on Madison Street between Patchen Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, which was littered with trash and an overturned shopping cart.
The city's medical examiner has not yet determined the victim's cause of death and the investigation was ongoing.
