A Central Islip man was found shot in the leg in front of a Brentwood home Thursday night, Suffolk County police said.

Police responded to a report of a person shot about 11 p.m. on Milandy Street and found the victim, 25, with a gunshot wound to his leg, a police spokeswoman said.

It was not immediately clear where the man was shot or how the incident unfolded, the spokeswoman said.

The victim was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with nonlife threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.
