He assaulted two 16-year-old boys with a baseball bat as they walked down a street in Lynbrook two weeks ago, Nassau County police said.

On Wednesday John Santos, 20, of Derby Street, Valley Stream, was arrested in connection with that attack and charged with second-degree assault and second-degree menacing. He is scheduled for arraignment Thursday in First District Court, Hempstead.

Police said Santos was with a group of eight or nine others when he attacked the boys, as they walked along Wright Avenue near Leaman Place on May 15 at about 11:30 p.m.

None of the others have been arrested.

Police said one of the two victims was treated to South Nassau Hospital for undisclosed injuries. The other refused medical treatment, police said.
