He used a fraudulent PayPal card to make a purchase at a Dave & Buster’s in Westbury on Sunday, Nassau County police said.
But, police said, an employee recognized the card was a fake — and called the authorities.
Now, Jamel S. Howard, 25, of Parkhurst Road, Elmont, is under arrest, charged with seven counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument, police said. He is scheduled for arraignment Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
Police said the incident occurred at the Dave & Buster’s restaurant on Old Country Road at 11:25 p.m.
Police said Howard attempted to use the fraudulent card, that an alert employee called police, and that an investigation found Howard had six additional fraudulent cards in his possession. He was arrested at the scene.
