Domino’s driver in Unionsdale escapes robbery attempt, cops say
Nassau County police are investigating the attempted robbery of a Domino’s pizza deliveryman in Uniondale Saturday night.
There were no injuries.
According to detectives, the incident happened at 11 p.m. as the deliveryman, 43, was in his car after completing a delivery on Van Buren Street.
While the delivery man was counting his money, a male with a thin build, between 16 and 20 years old, banged on the window and demanded the money while displaying a knife, police said. The deliveryman then drove off and the suspect fled in an unknown direction, police said.
