Cops: Fake credit cards used in Freeport
A Brooklyn man was arrested Friday and charged with using phony credit cards to purchase more than $17,000 in merchandise from a Freeport clothing store and other businesses in the area, police said.
Lenys Coss-Osoria, 36, of 373 2nd St., was charged with third degree grand larceny, and 8 counts of second degree possession of a forged instrument.
Coss-Osoria used re-encoded credit cards to purchase material from the TJ Maxx outlet at 256 E. Sunrise Hwy., and other Marmaxx Group stores dating back to at least February 2011, Nassau detectives said.
He was to be arraigned Saturday in First District Court, Hempstead, police said.
