Cops: Greenport man faces public lewdness, burglary charges
The Greenport man whistled at the young girls, threw pebbles at their window and eventually "unlawfully entered" their home - where he exposed himself to them, Southold police said.
Now James Lawrence, 33, of 430 Second St., is under arrest, charged with second-degree burglary and public lewdness, police said. He is scheduled for arraignment Monday.
The victims, Greenport residents, were 11 and 15 years old, police said.
Lawrence first "gained their attention by whistling and throwing pebbles towards their window," police said. Then he unlawfully entered and remained inside their house, exposing himself to the two girls inside the home, police said.
Police said Lawrence was arrested Monday at 2:33 a.m. - as he was leaving the home.
