A gunman robbed an Oceanside tanning salon Tuesday morning, police said. There were no reports of injuries.

Armed with a black handgun, the suspect entered Beach Bum Tanning, 2801 Long Beach Rd., and demanded the two people there, the owner and one employee, lay down on the ground, police said.

After they complied, the gunman took an unspecified amount of money from the cash register, police said, and fled the building, heading south on Long Beach Road.

Nassau police asked that anyone with information about the robbery call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
