Cops: Hempstead woman smoked crack on front stoop

She was sitting on a front stoop on Marvin Avenue in Hempstead Tuesday smoking crack from a clear glass pipe, State police said. It was hard not to notice, they said.
Feremata Marah, 23, of 28 Mason St., Hempstead, was arrested after a trooper saw her in front of 13 Marvin Ave. at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday. She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Arraignment details were not immediately available.
