Three armed men busted into a Greenport apartment early Friday morning in what is believed to be a targeted attack, Southold Town police said.

The three men assaulted two people who were in the Center Street home, police said. The victims were taken to a hospital, treated for injuries, and released.

Town police said they are investigating the home invasion, which occurred at 4:49 a.m., with help from the Suffolk County police crime lab and identification section, which lifts fingerprints. Police are trying to determine what, if anything, was stolen from the apartment.

No one has been arrested, town police said.
