Cops: Man arrested for year-old jewelry theft
A Medford man was arrested on grand larceny charges Friday in connection with a year-old jewelry theft, according to Nassau County Police.
James J. Henehan, 19, was staying at the Island Park home of a 45-year-old woman when he stole the jewelry last July and sold it, police said.
Henehan was arrested in Coram on Friday and charged with third-degree grand larceny, police said. He also was being held on a March 2011 bench warrant out of Nassau County.
Henehan pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead and was ordered held on $500 bail. He is due back in court on Tuesday.
