Cops: Man harasses teen girls at Uniondale laundry
Police said a Uniondale man approached three teen girls at a coin-operated laundry Wednesday, offered them beer, attempted to kiss one after the three refused the drink, then chased them into the parking lot, where he grabbed one of the girls.
Now he's under arrest, charged with sexual abuse and child endangerment.
Police said Wilfredo Molina, 29, of 306 Uniondale Ave., approached the girls, ages 13 to 14, at 9:30 p.m. at Laundry City, 1103 Front St. in Uniondale.
Police said Molina offered the girls beer. They refused. Police said Molina left, then returned a few minutes later and offered the beer again.
The girls refused again, and Molina "moved closer to one of the victims" and tried to kiss her, police said. The girls ran from the laundry, and Molina chased them into a rear parking lot, where he "forcibly grabbed one of the victim's breasts," police said. The girl's brother, 15, came to her aid, police said.
Molina was arrested at the scene, police said. He was charged with second-degree sexual abuse and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and was scheduled for arraignment Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
