Cops: Man sought in Uniondale nursing home lot mugging

Nassau County police said they are looking for man who mugged a 78-year-old woman in the parking lot of a Uniondale health care facility.
The man approached the woman outside the TownHouse Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on Hempstead Turnpike at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, police said.
He demanded money, grabbed the woman’s pocketbook and fled north on foot, police said.
The victim, who had been visiting a family member in the facility, fell to the ground, but was not injured, police said.
Anyone with information on the robbery was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
