Cops: Man stole car in Lindenhurst, ditched it in Farmingdale

Suffolk County police released surveillance images of a man they said they are seeking in connection with the theft of a 2016 Lincoln MKS from a Citgo gas station on Route 109 in North Lindenhurst at about 4 a.m. on Oct. 8, 2016. He stole a car, police said, but left behind some pretty good photos of himself from the surveillance cameras — photos of himself wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with artwork and the word “Dope.”
Now, Suffolk County police want to know if the public can identify the suspect, who stole a 2016 Lincoln MKS from a Citgo gas station on Route 109 in North Lindenhurst at about 4 a.m. on Oct. 8, later abandoning the vehicle on Conklin Street in Farmingdale.
Anyone who can identify the suspect — or who knows anything about the crime — is asked to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. Police said all calls will remain confidential and callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest in the case.
