After an investigation of several months, a Mastic man has been charged with selling heroin in Southampton, town police said.

Christopher L. Petersen, 26, was charged with two counts of criminal sale, three counts of criminal possession and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, police said in a Saturday news release.

Police said their investigation uncovered that Petersen repeatedly made trips to Queens to pick up the heroin and then sold it to customers in Southampton.

Arraignment information was not immediately available.
