Cops: Patchogue larceny suspect’s getaway car in hit-run

Police were searching Thursday for a suspect in a larceny at a Patchogue store whose getaway car was involved in a hit-and-run that left the other driver injured.
The suspect, a man, stole merchandise from Work ‘N Gear in Gateway Plaza on Sunrise Highway about 11 a.m., Suffolk County police said.
“The man fled the parking lot in a vehicle [that] struck another vehicle while he was fleeing, causing property damage and minor injury to the driver,” police said in a statement.
Police are investigating.
