A man in a pink jumpsuit, carrying an off-white woman’s handbag, walked into a stationary store in Lynbrook Thursday afternoon, flashed a handgun — and announced he was robbing the place, police said.

All he got was a Gatorade.

Now Nassau County police are looking to stop the pink bandit before he tries it again.

Police said the robbery took place at the C and R stationary store on Union Avenue at about 1:25 p.m. Thursday. It was then the man — and, police said it was a man, between the ages of 25 and 35 years old — walked into the store, displayed the handgun and demanded money.

But the befuddled clerk couldn’t open the register.

Frustrated, police said the suspect grabbed a Gatorade and bolted out the door, running north on Union.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous, police said.
