Cops probe Baldwin gas station robbery

First Squad detectives are looking for a masked gunman who robbed a gas station in Baldwin early Monday, Nassau County police said.

A man flashing a silver handgun and wearing a mask over the lower portion of his face entered the Mobil station at 1214 Grand Ave. at about 1:25 a.m., police said.

He demanded that the clerk inside the station’s minimart, a 27-year-old man, give him money from the cash register.

The clerk complied, and the gunman left the station, running north with an unspecified amount of cash, police said.
