Cops release photo of suspect in Bellport Sunoco holdup

Police said the suspect wore a hoodie and a mask and, armed with a handgun, robbed a Bellport gas station in July — assaulting a station employee before fleeing the scene on foot.
Suffolk County police have released a surveillance image of the armed robbery suspect, asking the public’s help locating the suspect.
The robbery occurred at the Sunoco gas station on Montauk Highway at about 10:40 p.m. July 8, police said. Police did not disclose how much money was taken.
Anyone with information about the robbery — or the suspect — is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477.
All calls will remain confidential. Callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
