Suffolk police are investigating the robbery of a TD Bank branch Sunday morning in West Islip.

Police said a man entered the TD Bank at 485 Montauk Hwy. at 11:24 a.m. and demanded cash from a teller. The suspect fled on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of money from the teller, and is still at large.

The suspect was described as a male, 35 to 45 years old, between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build and short, dark hair. The man was wearing a black tank top, bluejeans and black and white sneakers, police said.

Representatives of the bank branch did not comment on the robbery.
