Nassau County police are searching for a man who robbed a Massapequa bank Saturday afternoon.

Detectives said a man handed a teller a note demanding cash at the Capital One Bank, 4374 Sunrise Hwy., about 12:30 p.m.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the man, who then fled the bank. He was last seen running north of the bank. The three employees and four customers in the bank were not injured, police said.

Police described the suspect as about 25 to 30 years old, between 5-foot 6-inches to 5-foot 8-inches tall, and weighing about 150 pounds. The man was last seen wearing a dark hooded zippered sweatshirt, dark pants, bright-colored sneakers and a bright-colored baseball hat.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
