When it comes to breaking into a golf course, a man wanted for burglaries at the Smithtown Landing Golf and Country Club was a duffer.

Suffolk County police said the suspect didn’t steal any items after breaking into two buildings at the course on Landing Avenue in Smithtown just before 2:30 a.m. on Monday.

But he was captured on surveillance video as he wandered the property dressed in dark clothing — including dark-color pants, sweatshirt, mask and gloves.

Now police want to know if you know the suspect, believed to be between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall with a stocky build.

They’re asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
