Three Brooklyn men have been arrested after stealing parked vehicles in East Meadow, Garden City and Levittown, authorities said Tuesday.

According to Nassau County police detectives, the arrests were made shortly after 3:30 a.m. Monday after First Precinct officers responded to the vicinity of Surrey Drive and Stratford Drive in East Meadow on a report of three suspicious males.

When police arrived the suspects fled on foot into various backyards before they were found in different rear yards on Bethlynn Court near Surrey Drive, police said.

Further investigation revealed the suspects were responsible for stealing a 2004 Ford Explorer shortly before 3 a.m. on Monday that was parked on Michael Court in East Meadow and stealing a 2014 Jeep about the same time that was also parked on Michael Court, police said.

Police said it was also determined that a 2012 Ford Explorer was stolen last Thursday from Fourth Street in Garden City, and that a Volkswagen Jetta parked on Sugar Maple Road in Levittown was stolen on Aug. 24 .

Tziah Townsend, 18, of Livonia Avenue; Isaiah Feliciano, 16, of Watkins Street; and Omar McFarlane, 17, of Thatford Avenue were arrested, police said.

McFarlane was charged with three counts of third-degree grand larceny, one count of third-degree identity theft, one count of third-degree criminal trespass, one count of fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, one count of first degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, one count of fourth-degree grand larceny and three counts of petit larceny.

Townsend was charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny, three counts of petit larceny, one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and one count of third degree criminal trespass.

Feliciano was charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny, three counts of petit larceny, one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and one count of third-degree criminal trespass.

All three defendants were scheduled for arraignment Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
