Nassau police said they are looking for two male suspects who committed an armed robbery at a discount store in Hempstead Sunday morning.
The two unidentified suspects, armed with handguns, walked into the Family Dollar store at 555 Greenwich Ave. at about 8:30 a.m., police said.
The suspects threatened two employees — women ages 33 and 44 — and took cash from the registers and fled on foot. Police did not say how much money the thieves stole.
No injuries were reported, police said. No customers were in the store at the time of the theft, police said. Detectives request anyone with information contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
