A 56-year-old woman was robbed in front of Great Neck Plaza in Great Neck Friday night by a man who pushed her to the ground and took her handbag, Nassau police said.

Police described the robber as Hispanic, 20 years old, 5'9'' and 210 pounds. He wore black shorts, a gray T-shirt and a black hat and ran west on Stoner Avenue.

The woman lost personal papers and jewelry but was uninjured, police said.
