A woman who passed a State Trooper on the Southern State Parkway at 90 mph provided a false identity after being stopped early Saturday morning, police said.

Susan Matis, of 500 Nassau St., Bellmore, also is suspected of driving while intoxicated, police said. She was stopped about 12:55 a.m. Saturday after her westbound white Infiniti allegedly zipped past a State Trooper. The speed limit on the roadway is 55 mph.

Police said they followed the car and also observed it change lanes without signaling several times. Matis finally stopped, but police said she responded slowly to their lights and siren.

While being questioned, Matis had a strong odor of alcohol, police said. She also did not have identification and initially identified herself as her sister, police added.

Police said after being taken to the Farmingdale station, Matis told officers she had used her sister's identity because her license was suspended for "child support reasons."

Matis is charged with driving while intoxicated, criminal impersonation and several vehicle and traffic violations, police said.
