An Albany man has been charged in the fatal stabbing of a Coram woman found on her front lawn by officers responding to a 911 call Saturday, Suffolk police said.

Kason Parker, 33, of Albany, was arrested Sunday, police said and charged with second-degree murder.

Parker was arraigned Monday before Suffolk District Court Judge James Saladino and was remanded without bail. Parker’s lawyer, Joseph Hanshe of Sayville, declined to comment.

The victim, Meghan Kiefer, 27, was pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital; the emergency call came in at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday.

Anyone who can help detectives with the investigation can call 631-852-6392 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
