Two gunmen robbed a Coram resident at his home Thursday, then struck the victim with their vehicle as they got away, Suffolk police said.
The suspects, armed with handguns, went to an apartment on Country Club Drive about 10:35 a.m., police said, and when the resident opened the door, they forced their way in.
As the robbers tried to take off with money, the victim stepped in front of their getaway vehicle and was struck, police said. He was taken to the hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Sixth Precinct detectives, who are handling the case, believe the location was targeted by the suspects.
Other details in the crime were not released Thursday.
