Cops: 2 arrested in counterfeiting at Tri County flea market
Two people working at separate booths at the Tri County flea market in Levittown were charged with offering for sale numerous counterfeit designer handbags, wallets and counterfeit trademarked logos, police said.
Jung Kim, 62, of 48th Avenue in Sunnyside, Queens, and Manchun Kim of Goldner Court in Valley Stream — who are not related — were arrested at 5:23 p.m. Monday, Nassau County police said.
A police spokesman said the sale of counterfeit goods was brought to their attention by industry investigators.
Both defendants were charged with multiple counts of trademark counterfeiting. At his arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead, Manchun Kim was released into his own custody and there was no information available online on the bail status of Jung Kim.
