A driver pulling out of a Medford shopping center was drunk when he crashed into another vehicle Wednesday night, sending himself and two others to the hospital, Suffolk County police said.

Steven Chiaramonte, 64, of Medford, was leaving Medford Plaza in his Lincoln when he hit a Nissan going west on Horseblock Road at about 6:30 p.m., police said.

The suspect was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the Nissan’s driver and a passenger were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, also for injuries that were also not life threatening, police said.

Chiaramonte was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated, police said.
