Police: Man stabbed outside of Las Flores nightclub
Nassau County police are investigating a stabbing in the parking lot of a Uniondale nightclub early yesterday morning.
Police said a man, 35, was walking through the parking lot of Las Flores Night Club, 1034 Front St., when a man approached him from behind and stabbed him in the right side of his torso.
The victim received a puncture wound, police said. Police said in a news release the weapon used was "possibly a knife."
Police said the attacker fled in a red car. The victim was driven to a nearby hospital by a friend. He was in stable condition, police said.

Man charged with drunken driving with teen daughter
A Riverhead man was released from the Suffolk County Jail on $500 cash bail yesterday after being arrested and charged with drunken driving in Southampton with his 14-year-old daughter in the car, police said.
Jose M. Lopez, 31, of 193 Phillips Ave., was charged under Leandra's Law with aggravated driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child.
State police pulled the car Lopez was driving over on County Road 104 shortly before 1 a.m. yesterday and found him to be intoxicated, police said.
Further investigation by State Police officers found that Lopez's passenger was his 14-year-old daughter.
Lopez was arraigned at the Southampton Town Justice Court.

Police investigate two fatal single-vehicle accidents
Suffolk County police are investigating two fatal single-vehicle accidents that occurred early yesterday -- one in Brookhaven and another in Port Jefferson Station.
Police said an unidentified man died in the Brookhaven accident at Horseblock Road and Montauk Highway about 4:30 a.m.
The man was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban south on Horseblock when it struck a tree on Montauk Highway and burst into flames, according to police.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and his vehicle was impounded for a safety check, police said.
Anyone with information on the accident can call Suffolk County Fifth Squad detectives at 631-854-8552.
The Port Jefferson Station accident, which happened about 4:20 a.m. at Route 112 and Washington Avenue, involved a vehicle found overturned next to a trash bin.
Police said an unidentified man was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer southbound on Route 112 when the vehicle crossed into the northbound lane, then left the roadway and overturned in a wooded area.
That driver also was pronounced dead at the scene and the vehicle impounded for a safety check.
Detectives ask anyone who might have witnessed the crash to call police at 631-854-8652.
