Hempstead woman with warrant arrested after tip, police say
Acting on a Crime Stoppers tip, police arrested a Hempstead woman on an open bench warrant Wednesday, charging her with an assault on another woman last November.
Nassau County police said Gladys Baquedano-Raudales, 23, of Jackson Street, was arrested at 2:25 p.m. in West Hempstead.
She was charged with second-degree assault and first-degree coercion and now faces arraignment Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
Police said that on Nov. 30 Baquedano-Raudales hit an 18-year-old woman, causing a facial laceration. Subsequent to that, the warrant was issued for her arrest.
