Deer Park resident injured in robbery, Suffolk police say

Suffolk County police are investigating after two men entered a Deer Park apartment and robbed the resident.
The men entered an apartment on Carlls Path about 11 p.m. and got into an altercation with the apartment resident, police said. The men took jewelry, credit cards and an iPhone before fleeing, a police spokeswoman said.
Police said they believe the robbery was targeted.
The resident was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries.
