A Deer Park man was arrested Sunday and charged with robbing two gas stations at knifepoint, injuring an attendant, Suffolk County police said.

Victor Carlton, 50, is suspected in the Nov. 4 robbery of a Sunoco Gas Station at 1985 Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park, and the Dec. 14 holdup of a Conoco Gas Station at 3089 Middle Country Road in Lake Grove, police said.

In both robberies, police said Carlton entered the gas stations, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the registers, police said.

During the Conoco Gas Station robbery, Carlton a stabbed the attendant several times for not initially complying, police said. No information was available about the severity of the attendant's injury.

Carlton was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and held overnight at the Third Precinct. At his arraignment Monday in First District Court in Central Islip, he was ordered held on $701,000 bond or $300,500 cash, according to online court records. He was represented by Manhattan-based attorney Scott Brian Zerner and was scheduled to be back in court on Friday.
