Deliveryman robbed at gunpoint in Hempstead, police say

Nassau County police are looking for two masked gunmen who robbed a deliveryman of his cellphone and cash in Hempstead early Thursday.

At about 12:20 a.m. at the side entrance of a Phoenix Street residence, the two gunmen stopped a man delivering food for El Nopal Restaurant, police said.

After taking the cash and the phone, the two ran off in an unknown direction, police said.

Each man was armed with a silver handgun, police said.
