Devon Hargrove of Medford tried to leave Yaphank crash scene, cops say

A Medford man tried to run off after crashing into a parked car on Mill Road in Yaphank on Thursday, Suffolk County police said.
Devon Hargrove, 41, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and operating a vehicle without an interlock device. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Central Islip.
Police said Hargrove was driving a 2005 Honda west on Mill Road at about 8:05 p.m. when he lost control and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle a parking lot.
Hargrove fled the scene and was arrested in the woods a short time later by Suffolk County’s Canine Unit, police said.
