A pizza deliveryman was beaten and robbed in Riverhead on Friday night, police said.

The Domino’s Pizza worker was attempting to deliver a pizza to the Oakland Drive West area at about 11:10 p.m. when the worker was approached by three men wearing black sweatshirts, police said.

Police say the men forcibly removed an unknown amount of cash and fled. The victim was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A K-9 unit helped search the area, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Riverhead Town police at 631-727-4500.
