A masked gunman went behind the counter at a North Bellmore Dunkin’ Donuts on Wednesday, demanding that an employee empty the cash register, Nassau County police said.
The robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the doughnut shop at 1526 Newbridge Rd. at about 10:30 p.m., police said.
The gunman had the employee put the cash in a white Dunkin’ Donuts bag, ordered him to the floor and then ran off in an unknown direction, police said.
The employee was not injured. He told police the gunman was 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, wore bluejeans, a black jacket, a dark blue hoodie, a black ski mask and gloves.
