A Mount Sinai man was arraigned on a drunken driving charge Tuesday several hours after he was involved in a crash with two other vehicles in Coram on Monday night, Suffolk County police said.

Thomas Sullivan, 57, pleaded not guilty to charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated at his arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip, said Olivier Roche of Lake Grove, Sullivan’s attorney.

Sullivan was being held on $3,500 cash or $7,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, according to Roche and court records.

Police said Sullivan was driving a 2016 Ford Fusion south on Route 112 at County Road 83 about 9:20 p.m. when he was involved in the crash, police said. Police did not provide additional details on the crash but there were no serious injuries reported.

“Obviously, we maintain our innocence and enjoy a presumption of innocence,” Roche said. “We are working to have him released so he can fight his case from the outside. We’re just getting the ball rolling and we have a long way to go.”
