Three men who staged an occupied home invasion, storming a home in East Moriches armed with baseball bats and a handgun, were caught on the Southern State Parkway in Bay Shore not long after stealing cash, jewelry and a cellphone, then fleeing the house Wednesday night, Suffolk County police said.

Police said Alexander Vaughn, 29, of East 42nd Street, Brooklyn, George Bidi, 19, of East 43rd Street, Brooklyn, and Akim Adams, 26, who has no known address, were arrested during a traffic stop after their 2016 Hyundai sedan was located by Third Precinct officers at 11:55 p.m.

All three were charged with first-degree burglary and are scheduled for arraignment Thursday in First District Court in Central Islip.

Police said the three entered a home on Amanda Way through an unlocked garage at about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday.

It was not immediately clear how many people were in the house when they stormed in. It also was not immediately clear if the home was targeted — or if the suspects were known to the residents.

Police said officers made the traffic stop after a broadcast description of the suspects.

Additional details were not immediately known.
