A bar argument in Farmingdale turned into a stabbing when a man was slashed in the neck with a glass bottle early Saturday morning, Nassau police said.

At Croxley’s Bar on Main Street, the victim, 25, had grabbed the other man involved from behind, police said, who then smashed a glass bottle across the victim’s neck, causing a deep laceration, police said.

The suspect fled after the assault, which happened about 1:45 a.m., police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was in stable condition Monday, police said.

The suspect appeared to be 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a medium build, but there was no clothing description or approximate age, police said.

Second Precinct detectives ask anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
