The Farmingville man who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint early Tuesday also robbed the same store at gunpoint on New Year’s Day, Suffolk County police said.

Deshawn Martin, 21, of Horizon View Drive, robbed the 7-Eleven on Mooney Pond Road in Farmingville at 12:08 a.m. Tuesday and was arrested a short time later on Route 25 near South Coleman Road in Centereach, police said.

Detectives determined that Martin robbed the same store almost three months ago, police said.

There were no injuries in either robbery, and Martin got an undetermined amount of cash both times, police said.

He was awaiting arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip on two counts of robbery in the first degree, police said.
