A driver pulled up to another vehicle in Uniondale on Thursday night and numerous gunshots were fired, killing a 32-year-old man sitting inside, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Nassau police in a Tuesday new release identified Corey, J. Bolding, 32 of Uniondale, as the victim of the deadly shooting.

In a Friday release reporting the shooting, Nassau police didn't say whether anyone was a suspect.

The police went to the scene, on Dale Place, after being told by 911 dispatchers about a call for gunshots around 11:30 p.m., the Friday release said.

The officers found the man "sitting in a vehicle with gunshot injuries," the release said.

"The investigation has revealed that a second vehicle pulled alongside the victim[']s vehicle and fired numerous gun shots into it," according to the Friday release, which didn't say how the police know about the second vehicle.

The release did not say whether the shooting was random or the victim was targeted.
