A Baldwin man faces a felony drug-possession charge after he allegedly was found Friday with 70 pounds of marijuana, which has a street value of $500,000, State Police said.

Jared Silkie, 25, of 1129 Steele Blvd., was arrested Friday at his home after police said he accepted a delivery of 60 pounds of marijuana. An additional 10 pounds of marijuana and an unspecified amount of cash also were found in Silkie's residence, police said.

The arrest is part of "an ongoing investigation by the New York State Police Troop L Narcotics Enforcement Unit," according to a news release.

Silkie was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
