Flanders woman arrested by East End Drug Task Force, police say
A search of a home in Flanders on Tuesday resulted in the seizure of cocaine, crack and cash — and resulted in the arrest of a 46-year-old woman on drug charges — police said.
Tyra E. Crump, of Priscilla Street, Flanders, was arrested after the execution of a search warrant at her home by members of the Suffolk County district attorney’s office East End Drug Task Force, assisted by Suffolk Sheriff’s Office K-9 units and the Southampton Town police Emergency Services Unit.
Crump was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. She faces arraignment in Southampton Town Justice Court. Arraignment details were not available.
Police said the multijurisdiction drug task force served the warrant as a result of ongoing investigations into drug sale activity in the area. The value and amount of drugs seized was not immediately clear.
Police said Tyrone Crump, 46, also was arrested during the search and was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was released on an appearance ticket.
