Nassau detectives said two armed and masked men robbed a Floral Park 7-Eleven store on Tuesday afternoon.

The 4:24 p.m. robbery occurred after the two men walked into the store at 287 Jericho Tpke. and displayed a handgun while demanding money, Third Squad detectives said. One of the men gave the store clerk a bag and told her to put money in it and she complied, police said.

The store was occupied by two employees and one customer at the time.

The pair grabbed the bag and left, running north on Irving Avenue onto Lowell Avenue, police said.

One suspect was described as 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, dark gloves and a mask. The other was described as 5 feet 10 to 11 inches tall wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, dark gloves and a mask.

Detectives ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.

Correction: Due to incorrect information from Nassau police, an earlier version of this story said the robbery occurred Wednesday.
