Fourth suspect arrested in Hempstead beating
The fourth member of a group that beat a 23-year-old man into unconsciousness at a Hempstead bar was arrested Tuesday morning in Hempstead, police said.
Nassau County police said Luis Enrique Galeano, 33, of 534 Claredon Rd., Uniondale, was among four men who attacked the victim at the Sammy Play Bar on Front Street on April 10, leaving him unconscious and critically injured.
The victim, who was not identified, was treated at Nassau University Medical Center. Police did not immediately know his condition Tuesday.
Galeano was charged with first-degree gang assault, as were the others who face charges, police said. He was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
The three others arrested in the attack are: Gary Espinal, 16, of 732 Jerusalem Ave., Uniondale, who was arrested the night of the incident; Gustavo Villars, 17, of 1 Mitchell Ct., Hempstead, who was arrested on April 14; and Ismael Rubin Palacios, 22, of 1260 Birch St., Uniondale, who was arrested April 18, police said.
