Nassau County police are looking for two men who put a gun to the back of cabdriver’s head Wednesday night in Freeport.

First Squad detectives said they don’t know if the two made off with any proceeds after they struggled with the driver on Virginia Avenue at about 10:30 p.m.

The driver was not injured, and the two armed suspects ran off in different directions, police said.

The two suspects, who were in the taxi and armed with a knife and a black handgun, demanded money from the driver and put the gun to the back of his head, according to a news release.

A struggle ensued between the driver and the two subjects in the car, the release said. One suspect then ran south on Virginia Avenue and the other west on Maxson Avenue.

Police said the two were described as between 17 and 20 years old and wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with more information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All information will be kept confidential.
